A Physical Gold Trading Platform

El Dorado Empire Ltd is a physical gold trading platform incorporated in England and Wales. Our core activity is the acquisition of physical gold at source — directly from contracted mining operations in Colombia — and its commercialisation to European refineries in Spain.

We are not a mining company, a refinery, or a regulated financial intermediary. We are the commercial operator that connects both ends of the chain: the producer at origin and the international end-buyer, capturing the documented price differential between the two.

The Trading Process

I
Supply Contract

We sign supply agreements with Colombian mining producers holding formally registered titles. The purchase price is contractually fixed at a documented discount to the LBMA spot reference.

II
Acquisition & Verification

Gold is weighed, assayed and verified at source. Full traceability documentation is generated in compliance with Colombian export regulations (DIAN) and EU import requirements.

III
Insured International Transport

Metal is transported exclusively via specialist precious metals logistics operators, fully insured throughout transit from Colombia to Spain.

IV
Delivery & Sale

We deliver gold to our European refinery counterpart in Spain at the LBMA spot reference, less a standard delivery discount. The margin between purchase and sale constitutes the commercial result of each operation.

Responsible Sourcing

El Dorado Empire Ltd operates exclusively with gold suppliers holding formally registered mining titles with Colombian authorities. Our supply agreements require origin documentation, independent assay verification, and compliance with DIAN export regulations.

AML / KYCIdentity and source-of-funds verification for all counterparties
Colombian ExportCertification and declaration with DIAN (National Customs & Tax Authority)
EU ImportImport declaration under HS code 71.08, 0% tariff on bullion
Responsible SourcingChain-of-custody documentation and mining title verification
Logistics

Physical gold transport between origin and destination is carried out exclusively with logistics operators specialised in precious metals. Each shipment is fully insured (all-risks transit insurance) and accompanied by complete chain-of-custody documentation.

Gold That Leaves a Mark

El Dorado Empire Ltd operates on real territory, with real communities. Our ESG commitment is not a reporting exercise — it is a business model decision. We believe that gold sourced from better-educated, better-connected and better-organised communities is more sustainable, more traceable and more valuable. Community impact and commercial return are two sides of the same project.

“Every kilogram of gold that EDE mobilises must leave something more than a ledger entry in the territory from which it comes.”

The Territory — Sur de Bolívar, Colombia

The southern department of Bolívar encompasses municipalities including Santa Rosa del Sur, Simítí and Río Viejo — a mountain and tropical forest region with one of Colombia's richest gold-bearing ranges, the Serranía de San Lucas. Communities are primarily rural, with Afro-Colombian and indigenous nuclei, and an economy historically dependent on artisanal and small-scale mining.
